Change doesn't happen alone — it takes all of us. For 12 years, Halal Hands previously known as Milton Halal Food Bank has united our community to tackle hunger with compassion and collective action.
Community, being an organization founded by the small community of Milton back in 2014, we understand the shear feeling of hopelessness when your community is in need of help, or a family member is struggling. Our mission is to remove that feeling.
In the GTA and across Canada, Food Insecurity remains a great issue. With 1/6 families dealing with Food Insecurity and it being racialized especially among the indigenous, we aim to mitigate this crisis by fostering collaborations between youth and large-scale charities, working towards a future where every individual in the GTA has access to sufficient and nutritious food.
